Preparing for your interview
We understand that interviews make some people feel nervous. Here’s some advice, hints and tips to help prepare for your interview.
-
Research the Trust – Look at our website, Twitter, and Facebook pages. This will give you an idea of our services, projects, partnerships and how we support the community.
-
Plan your arrival – Arrive about 10 minutes early. This gives you time to settle in without feeling rushed.
-
Take your time – Listen carefully to each question and answer at your own pace. There is no need to rush.
-
Be confident – Share your skills, strengths, and examples of your experience.
-
Prepare questions – It can help to think of questions to ask at the end of your interview, such as:
-
“What do you enjoy most about working for CWP?”
-
“Is there opportunity to progress in this role?”
-
“When will I hear back about the outcome?”
-
Remember: interviews are a chance for both you and us to see if the role is the right fit. It’s okay to feel nervous – preparation will help you feel more confident.
